About the Role We are currently seeking a Social Worker for a casual position based at the Buller Health Campus in Westport. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering effective psychosocial assessments, interventions, monitoring, and evaluations for clients of all ages. Your work will primarily involve community engagement, collaborating with other physical and mental health professionals to support clients and their whanau through their health journeys. You will be part of a close-knit, Multi-Disciplinary team that includes other Allied Health Professionals. Our strong working relationships with District Nursing, the Complex Clinical Care Network, and various community services enhance the support we provide to our clients. The new modern integrated Family Health Centre at our Westport campus allows us to work cohesively and accessibly. About You We are looking for a dedicated and professional social worker who is passionate about providing high-quality psychosocial services. You should possess a strong background in social work, be registered with the Social Work Registration Board of New Zealand, and excel in delivering culturally appropriate and ethical care. Your ability to adapt to diverse settings and quickly integrate into our team will make you a valuable asset. Essential qualifications and skills include: - Proven experience in social work assessment, monitoring, and patient support - Ability to triage workloads effectively to meet patient needs and service demands - Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to individuals from various backgrounds - Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or a commitment to begin your learning journey in these areas - A recognized tertiary qualification in social work - Registration with the Social Work Registration Board of New Zealand - A current Annual Practicing Certificate Working for Health New Zealand At Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, we prioritize the well-being of our people, as they are at the heart of everything we do.
