About the Role
We are currently seeking two experienced CNC Programmers to enhance our production capabilities. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in 5-axis and 3-axis CNC programming, who can effectively manage and coordinate workflow for CNC machine operators in a high-volume production setting.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for the following:
- Programming, setting up, and operating 3-axis CNC machines for cabinetry production. Experience with 5-axis CNC machines will be advantageous.
- Planning, managing, and prioritizing daily workflow to ensure CNC machine operators are effectively utilized.
- Accurately interpreting technical drawings and production specifications.
- Collaborating with design and production teams to facilitate a seamless production flow.
- Troubleshooting machining issues and continuously seeking process improvements.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety throughout the production process.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated experience programming and operating both 5-axis and 3-axis CNC machines.
- A proven background in cabinetry, joinery, or wood-based manufacturing.
- Experience managing workflow and directing machine operators.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to work regular overtime as required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Must hold an open work visa and be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
Software Experience
Familiarity with current software programs such as Ryno, SolidWorks, and Alphacam is essential. We are also open to candidates who are willing to transition to alternative software for the right fit.
