About the Role We are currently seeking a Procurement Officer to join our engineering workshop. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing of essential workshop supplies, spare parts, and equipment. Your efforts will be crucial in ensuring our operations run efficiently and stay within budget. As a Procurement Officer, you will play a vital role in the timely and cost-effective procurement of items necessary for fabrication, maintenance, and engineering operations. You will collaborate closely with our workshop team, engineers, and suppliers to fulfill operational requirements without compromising on quality or safety. Key Responsibilities - Source and purchase workshop tools, mechanical components, raw materials, and consumables. - Liaise with engineers and designers to gain a clear understanding of technical requirements. - Evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate pricing, and manage supplier relationships. - Monitor stock levels, place timely orders, and coordinate deliveries. - Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with internal procedures. - Ensure that all procured items meet quality and safety standards. Qualifications and Skills - A minimum of 2 years of procurement experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or workshop setting. - Strong technical understanding of engineering tools, mechanical parts, and workshop equipment. - Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. - Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement software. - High attention to detail, organization, and time management.
