Currently, we are seeking Expressions of Interest for an upcoming project in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and we are looking for experienced leaders who thrive in challenging environments. About the Role We are searching for an experienced Carpentry Foreperson who possesses concrete and masonry expertise. This hands-on leadership role involves guiding a team of tradespeople and local workers on a new-build project in a tropical setting. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship and maintaining safety standards while actively participating in the work. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of skilled tradespeople and local labor. It is not just a job; it is an adventure that allows you to lead from the front and gain valuable experience in a remote location. What’s On Offer? - Flights covered from any major New Zealand airport. - Meals, accommodation, and personal protective equipment provided. - Contracting rate of NZD $78.95 per hour, with an expected workload of 45 hours per week over five working days. - Rotation schedule of 8 weeks on, 2 weeks off, with potential for longer assignments. Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: - Trade qualification in carpentry. - Experience in carpentry work and site supervision. - A strong commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards. - Ability to coordinate teams and support project planning. - Concrete experience is essential. - Resilience to work in hot and humid conditions. Please note that due to travel restrictions, we can only accept applications from NZ or US passport holders currently residing and working in New Zealand. Additionally, candidates must be willing to receive vaccinations for Flu, Tdap, and MMR. A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is also required. A full Class 1 New Zealand Driver Licence and a clean criminal record are essential. Start dates are as soon as possible but will depend on visa authorization, medical clearance, security checks, your notice period, and flight availability, likely in early to mid-2026.
