About the Role
In the role of Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the unit. Your primary duties will include delivering sterilized equipment to the operating theatre and other stakeholders. You will serve as the point of contact for your team, assisting with troubleshooting any equipment malfunctions and ensuring that all standards are maintained in accordance with Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and allocate departmental resources on a shift-by-shift basis.
- Ensure all required tests and monitoring are completed and documented accurately.
- Report any discrepancies to the SSU Management Team.
- Package instruments and sets according to end-user specifications.
- Adhere strictly to SSU packing and checking policies.
- Participate in technical, clinical, quality, and administrative SSU activities.
- Foster a strong team environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Conduct weekly and monthly audits.
About the Team
You will be joining a dedicated team of three Sterile Service Technicians, along with one casual Technician. Together, we work collaboratively to maintain high standards of service.

About You
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Hold a Level 4 Sterilising Technology Certificate.
- Be fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Have proven customer service experience.
- Familiarity with the MaQS Plus system is desired.
- Be able to support and enhance team performance to meet organizational goals.
- Take initiative and personal responsibility in delivering results.
- Be self-aware and committed to continuous leadership development.
- Be willing and able to undertake shift work.
