About the Role
We are currently seeking a Manager for the Complex Licensing team within our Gambling Group Operations leadership team. This pivotal role combines strategic leadership with extensive regulatory knowledge and practice. You will lead and develop highly specialized technical teams while navigating regulatory decisions that may be legally complex and high-profile, presenting additional risks to the Department.
In this position, effective communication and engagement skills are essential. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships within Te Tari Taiwhenua and across the sector. An important aspect of your role will also involve enhancing compliance capabilities within the sector by creating guidance for financial compliance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Proven experience in providing strategic and operational leadership within a regulatory environment, preferably in gambling regulation.
- A track record of developing, leading, and motivating high-performing technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results that meet both timeliness and quality standards.
- Experience in introducing and driving innovative business practices to achieve positive outcomes.
