About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our Nutrition and Food Services Retail and Cafe team. In this role, you will play an essential part in supporting healthcare workers, patients, whānau, and visitors by preparing food and beverages and maintaining a welcoming environment. Your responsibilities will include making coffee, preparing sandwiches and wraps, serving customers, handling cashier duties, and ensuring that seating areas are clean and tidy. Additionally, you will be responsible for washing dishes and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen. This position requires rostered shifts from Monday through Sunday, with scheduled hours between 6:00 AM and 8:30 PM. Flexibility and a positive attitude toward variable working hours are essential. About You We are looking for candidates who are: - Reliable with a strong attendance record - Capable of working effectively within a team - Committed to maintaining a high standard of personal presentation - Able to demonstrate care and empathy towards others To be eligible for this position, applicants must have New Zealand residency or an eligible working visa and be able to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English.
