About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified and registered ECE teacher to take on the role of Head Teacher at BestStart Rugby Park. This position involves leading our dedicated team in the under 2s areas, known as Pepe and Fern. As a Head Teacher, you will have the opportunity to guide a talented group while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
In this permanent, full-time role, you will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, a commitment to quality and compliance, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. You will be adept at managing multiple priorities, inspiring a highly qualified team, and maintaining the high standards that BestStart is known for.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Teaching (Level 7) in Early Childhood Education, along with current full teacher certification
- Excellent knowledge of ECE regulations, Te Whāriki, and compliance requirements
- A strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy, and curriculum
- The ability to lead with clarity, remain calm under pressure, and motivate others
- A passion for delivering exceptional learning experiences for tamariki
