Warehouse Operator - East Tamaki

About the Company We are a national business dedicated to supplying LPG and natural gas equipment to gasfitters and trade merchants across New Zealand. Our operations are based in East Tamaki, Auckland, where we pride ourselves on providing excellent service and support to our clients. About the Role We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operator to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for daily warehouse operations, including managing inwards and outwards goods. You will work closely with all departments, ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse. Key Responsibilities Your primary responsibilities will include: - Picking and packing orders, ensuring that stock movements are processed accurately. - Coordinating the timely dispatch of orders across New Zealand. - Organizing and palletizing incoming goods. - Receiving incoming stock and assisting with stocktakes. - Onloading and offloading bulk orders, including container devanning. - Reporting on biosecurity matters if you are trained as an MPI Accredited Person. - Operating forklifts, specifically Reach and Counterbalance models. - Maintaining warehouse organization and housekeeping to ensure safety and efficiency. Requirements To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria: - A current Forklift Licence for both Reach and Counterbalance is required. - An MPI Accredited Person (AP) certificate is preferred, although not essential. - You should be a strong team player with the ability to work independently. - Previous experience in the trade industry is preferred, or a keen interest in developing your career in this sector. - Physical fitness is necessary, as the role involves manual handling tasks. - A solid background in warehouse operations with an understanding of warehouse systems, health and safety regulations, and best practices is essential.
