About the Role
We are excited to announce openings for Swim Zone Lifeguard roles at our Matamata location, with options for both full-time and part-time positions. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are interested in gaining qualifications while being paid a competitive living wage of $27.80 per hour.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our customers while delivering exceptional customer service. Our ideal candidates will be confident swimmers who can communicate effectively, make sound health and safety decisions, maintain cleanliness in the facility, and respond to emergencies as needed. Lifeguards at Swim Zone will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including rotating between reception, lifeguarding, conducting pool tests, maintaining the plant room, and cleaning.
We provide comprehensive training for all positions to help you obtain first aid and lifeguard qualifications.

- Monday: 5:30 am - 2:00 pm
- Tuesday: 5:30 am - 1:00 pm (Winter) / 5:30 am - 2:00 pm (Summer)
- Wednesday: 5:30 am - 1:00 pm (Winter) / 5:30 am - 2:00 pm (Summer)
- Thursday: 5:30 am - 2:00 pm (both seasons)
- Friday: Off
- Saturday: Off
- Sunday: 9:30 am - 3:00 pm (Winter) / 9:30 am - 5:00 pm (Summer)
FT04
- Winter: 31.5 hours
- Summer: 37.5 hours
- Monday: Off
- Tuesday: 2:00 pm - 7:15 pm (Winter) / 10:45 am - 7:15 pm (Summer)
- Wednesday: 10:45 am - 7:15 pm (both seasons)
- Thursday: 10:45 am - 7:15 pm (both seasons)
- Friday: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm (Winter) / 9:30 am - 6:00 pm (Summer)
