About the Role We are currently seeking a passionate and certified Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher to join our close-knit and supportive team as a Nursery Teacher in a permanent, full-time position. This role involves rotating shifts with 8-hour days scheduled between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and flexibility with start and finish times is essential. In this role, you will support our under-twos by: - Building warm, trusting relationships with tamariki and their whānau - Creating meaningful, age-appropriate learning experiences - Providing calm and respectful care during daily routines - Documenting individual learning journeys with input from whānau - Maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment Requirements To be considered for this position, you should be a qualified and certificated teacher who: - Holds a Level 7 ECE Teaching qualification and current certification - Has experience working with infants and toddlers (preferred) - Understands the principles of child-led learning and the importance of routines and responsive care - Possesses strong knowledge of Te Whāriki and current ECE regulations - Is committed to practicing Te Tiriti o Waitangi - Is emotionally attuned, organized, reflective, and collaborative Benefits At BestStart, we believe in not just finding a job, but in discovering a place where you can thrive.
