As we expand our operations, we are looking for experienced Plumber/Pipe Fitters to join our team for a variety of exciting projects in Marlborough.
About the Role
We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to work alongside our skilled tradesmen. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including:
- Reading drawings and planning pipe and ducting systems
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing piping, ducting, and equipment for heating, cooling, and ventilation in buildings or vessels
- Measuring, cutting, and shaping pipes
- Installing, joining, and sealing pipes and fittings
- Installing and maintaining chilled and hot water pipes for refrigeration and heating systems, including tanks, central heating, gas heaters, air conditioning units, and associated components
- Mounting pipe and ducting hangers and brackets on walls and ceilings
- Fabricating and installing metal ductwork
- Performing basic welding and brazing of pipes
- Adhering to health and safety regulations
We expect you to take pride in your work, pay close attention to detail, and complete tasks to a high standard within set timeframes. Strong communication with supervisors and collaboration with team members are essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role as a plumber or pipe fitter, or possession of a trade qualification or higher
- Ability to provide references to verify your experience
Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate ranging from $27 to $40
- Minimum of 30 hours per week, with opportunities to work up to 55 hours depending on project requirements
- Workdays are Monday to Saturday
- Positions available across various locations including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Wellington, Manawatu/Horowhenua, Canterbury, Otago, Southland, Tasman, and Marlborough
- For those willing to travel between regions, accommodation and other allowances will be provided
