About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis, working 20 to 25 hours per week. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, is comfortable handling accounts administration, and possesses a proactive attitude toward general office support.
In this position, you will interact with clients and various contractors, making strong customer service skills essential. Candidates with prior experience in accounts or administration roles within a trades company will find this advantageous. There is a possibility for this part-time position to evolve into a full-time role in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payables and receivables
- Conduct customer follow-up for accounts
- Perform invoice reconciliation
- Handle back costing and processing timesheets/payroll
- Assist with contracts, tender proposals, and quoting
- Liaise with subcontractors
- Provide general office administration and reception duties
Requirements
- Experience in accounts administration, bookkeeping, or a similar role
- Solid understanding of financial processes and controls
- Proficiency in Xero, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Friendly and professional communication skills
- A proactive team player who enjoys working in a small but fast-paced environment
- A full, clean New Zealand driver's licence
