Position: Traffic Controller (Temporary) Pay Rate: $23.50 per hour Shift Hours: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Early starts required) Location: Penrose, Auckland Start Date: Immediate About the Company We are a dynamic organization dedicated to ensuring the safety and efficiency of traffic operations across Auckland. About the Role We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious Traffic Controllers to manage traffic flow at key construction and roadwork sites throughout Auckland. This is an active, outdoor role that is well-suited for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and want to contribute to safe and efficient road operations. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for safely directing vehicles and pedestrians in compliance with traffic management plans. You will set up, maintain, and dismantle traffic control equipment while collaborating with construction teams to minimize disruptions and ensure the safety of the worksite. Additionally, you will monitor and respond to changing traffic conditions. Requirements To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications: - Current TMO/TTM certification (mandatory) - Full NZ driver’s license - Legal right to work in New Zealand - Physical fitness to perform repetitive heavy lifting and stand for extended periods - Strong communication skills with a proactive safety mindset - Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to commit to early morning shifts (5:00 AM start) - Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and provide a clean Ministry of Justice (MOJ) record Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity for long shifts with early morning starts.
