About the Role
We are looking for Community Dentists to join our Oral Health Service in Waikato. This permanent part-time position, offering 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE), is based in Hamilton but requires frequent travel to rural hospitals and community clinics across the region.
In this role, Community Dentists will provide dental care that exceeds the scope of a Dental/Oral Health Therapist. You will assist patients requiring nitrous oxide sedation and general anaesthesia, focusing on eligible pre-schoolers, students, and some adolescents. Additionally, you will contribute to our graduate and undergraduate education programs.

About Hamilton
Hamilton is home to Waikato Hospital, a major regional and tertiary teaching hospital that serves the Midland area, including the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki districts. With around 722 inpatient beds and 22 operating theatres, Waikato Hospital offers comprehensive services, including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy. As a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Auckland, University of Waikato, and Wintec, it provides a dynamic learning environment with access to research opportunities.

About You
We are looking for an individual who is motivated and possesses a postgraduate qualification or a strong interest in public oral health care. A solid understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is essential for this position.
