About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team at Power Farming Canterbury in a fixed-term position. Based at our Rolleston branch, you will report to the Parts Manager and provide essential support to our Service and Parts teams. This is a temporary full-time role with flexible hours tailored to meet our customers' seasonal needs. We are looking for someone to start immediately and work through to Christmas.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Ordering and supply management
- Handling incoming goods
- Keeping up to date with product knowledge
- Ensuring all stock and the yard are maintained in pristine condition
- Overseeing the upkeep of new and used machinery
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of freight
- Completing minor repairs and maintenance
- Supporting the team and customers with various ad hoc requests
About You
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and possesses a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Key requirements for this position include:
- A background in the agricultural sector
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and understand parts, along with a willingness to learn
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate administration
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with individuals at all levels
- Ability to understand and manage customer expectations
- A team-oriented mindset and a proactive approach
- A good level of physical fitness, as some heavy lifting is involved
