About the Role We are seeking a Plant Operator to join our team at PGG Wrightson Seeds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery, values precision, and is eager to develop their technical skills in a role that offers future leadership opportunities. In this position, you will assist in the operation and optimization of the Petkus Seed Cleaning Line, driving operational excellence through proactive maintenance and process improvements. You will consistently and efficiently operate the coating plant, ensuring that all treatment recipes are adhered to. Monitoring outputs, collecting and reviewing samples, and ensuring compliance with strict quality standards will be integral to your responsibilities. Additionally, you will support training initiatives and foster the adoption of best practices within the team while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Your role is vital in producing high-quality products and upholding our reputation for reliability and innovation. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess the following: - NCEA Level 3 and/or a National Certificate in Manufacturing or Engineering (desirable) - Strong technical aptitude with knowledge of machinery and/or farming - An analytical mindset with keen attention to detail - Forklift Certificate (advantageous, but training will be provided) - A positive, can-do attitude Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate with recognition for skills and performance, along with high earning potential.
