Lead Landscaper + Landscapers

About the Company We are ALH, a dynamic and growing company based in Queenstown, and we are excited to announce the formation of a new team. As we embark on this journey, we are looking to fill a variety of positions, including lead landscapers, landscapers, and laborers. About the Role In this role, you will be involved in both soft and hard landscaping projects. Your key responsibilities will include: - Soft Landscaping: This involves site preparations, planting, mulching, and general surface finishing. - Hard Landscaping: You will work on paving, concreting, constructing retaining walls, decks, and fences. - You will safely and efficiently utilize a range of hand and power tools while maintaining a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety protocols. - You may lead smaller landscaping projects and collaborate with the team to ensure that we meet high standards and deadlines. - Additionally, you will assist with general construction tasks, civil construction activities, on-site drainage tasks, and site deliveries as needed. Requirements While experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have: - A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in landscaping. - Strong knowledge in both hardscaping (concrete, paving, decking, fencing) and softscaping (planting, mulching, lawns). - The ability to operate landscaping machinery and tools safely. - Competence in using various power tools. - A Class 1 Full Driver's License is required; a Class 2 Full Driver's License and WTR (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers) License are preferred, but not essential. - Experience operating small diggers and skid steers in confined areas is a plus. - Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. - The capability to work independently and lead small teams when necessary. - Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions. - A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability. - NZ residency or a valid work visa is essential, and candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
