About the Role We are currently seeking a part-time Parcel Sorter to join our Parcels division. This role involves working 20 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, during the evening shift from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. As we continue to experience increased volumes, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of our dynamic team as we advance in our journey. In this role, you will assist with the safe handling of freight, work toward achieving our target delivery goals, and strive to provide timely and damage-free service. Key responsibilities include: - Safely and securely loading and unloading all freight - Efficiently scanning freight to meet branch operational objectives - Ensuring that all documentation accompanying freight is complete - Operating all equipment in a safe and proficient manner - Managing bay labels, re-stacking damaged freight, and protecting leaking products - Maintaining good working relationships and communicating effectively within the team Requirements To excel in this position, you should be physically fit, possess excellent team coordination skills, and have some experience in the freight industry. Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred: - Prior work experience in the freight industry - A strong focus on health and safety - An OSH approved forklift certificate - An F endorsed licence (preferred but not essential) - Experience with long forks (preferred but not essential) - An understanding of dangerous goods laws (preferred but not essential) Benefits We prioritize our people, offering a workplace where we promote from within.
