Contracts Manager – Transport Team

About the Role We are looking for a Contracts Manager to lead the management and oversight of all transport-related contracts, from consultancy through to physical works. In this role, you will ensure that performance aligns with contract expectations, standards, and safety requirements. Your responsibilities will include: - Ensuring that our contractors and consultants deliver work that meets contractual obligations and high-quality standards. - Leading the procurement of new transport contracts in accordance with the Transport Procurement Strategy and Council procurement policies. - Collaborating closely with the Works Programme Manager to ensure that planning and resources are aligned for successful project delivery. - Working with the Roading and Drainage Engineer to maintain the quality, safety, and compliance of all physical works. About You We are seeking an experienced contracts professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality transport infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess: - A tertiary qualification in engineering or similar experience. - Strong experience in contract and procurement management, preferably in transport or civil works. - Excellent knowledge of procurement strategies and contract legislation. - A collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships across technical and operational teams. - A keen attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability. - A current full New Zealand driver’s license.
