About the Role We are currently seeking a Head Teacher for our Infants Room. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team to foster a calm, connected, and curiosity-driven learning environment for our tamariki. Your leadership will be crucial in providing our youngest learners with the best possible start to their educational journey. As the Head Teacher, you will be responsible for: - Creating and maintaining a responsive, respectful, and loving atmosphere for our infants. - Implementing intentional, attachment-based caregiving practices to ensure that each child feels safe, seen, and valued. - Inspiring and supporting your team to embody our values of calm, rhythm, and attuned care. - Collaborating closely with whānau to respect and integrate home cultures and routines into our learning environment. - Leading curriculum planning, documentation, and assessment that highlights holistic and strengths-based infant learning. - Ensuring compliance with licensing, regulations, and health and safety standards. - Promoting a culture of reflective practice and continuous growth within your teaching team. Requirements To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess: - A Level 7 ECE qualification and current teacher certification. - Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, early childhood education regulations, and curriculum development. - Expertise in infant development, primary caregiving, and attachment theory. - Proven leadership skills characterized by empathy, clarity, and integrity. - A commitment to providing high-quality education, inclusive practice, and respectful care. - Confidence in planning, documentation, and compliance processes. - A collaborative spirit, with a heart-led approach that uplifts others and drives purposeful leadership.
