About the Role
We are currently seeking a Customer Service Superstar to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for all Council inquiries, your role will be vital in delivering exceptional service and engaging with our customers effectively.
Your primary responsibility will involve ensuring that clients receive top-notch customer service by addressing their concerns and efficiently processing inquiries. You will excel at anticipating customer needs and providing timely, high-quality solutions. Given that this role is primarily based in the Contact Centre, strong verbal communication skills are essential.
We are looking for candidates with previous administrative experience who possess outstanding customer service skills. Strong computer proficiency, the ability to multitask, an excellent telephone manner, and a proactive approach are also key attributes we seek. You should be comfortable interacting with a diverse range of individuals and using your communication skills to build rapport with both internal and external customers. Most importantly, we value a customer service ethic that is unparalleled.
In addition to these qualifications, we appreciate enthusiasm, the capacity to remain composed under pressure, professional integrity, and a good sense of humor.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service and administration
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills and the ability to multi-task

- An appreciation for Māori values, te reo Māori, and a working knowledge of tikanga Māori is highly desirable
