About the Role We are currently seeking a Registered Teacher to join our team in a fixed-term role of 32 hours per week, extending through February 2027. In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our tamariki, helping them thrive in our supportive environment. Our centre features three age-based rooms: Pukeko Nursery, Tui, and Kiwi. Each room is designed to cater to the unique developmental needs of the children. In Pukeko Nursery, our kaiako work closely with whānau to create a warm and relational space for pēpi. Tui focuses on fostering emerging independence through environments that encourage curiosity, challenge, and social learning. Kiwi, our preschool room, emphasizes sharing ideas, following interests, and building confidence through active exploration, group times, and project work. Our outdoor spaces are lively and natural, providing ample room for movement, questioning, and experimentation. Our teaching philosophy is grounded in Te Whāriki, and we are proud to offer Nourish meals prepared onsite to support the well-being of our tamariki. Our transition to school programme is seamlessly integrated into play, and as part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, you will be a member of a nationwide community that emphasizes Ako, Kotahitanga, Manaakitanga, and Whanaungatanga in our daily practices. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should hold an ECE or Primary qualification along with current NZ teacher registration. You should feel confident in planning, assessing, and responding to children’s interests, and enjoy collaborating within a team that prioritizes creativity, communication, and care.
