About the Role We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our Bakery, Café, and Deli departments as Fresh Food Assistants. In this role, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training within a supportive management framework, along with opportunities for personal development. Ideal candidates will possess the following qualities: - Physical fitness to lift reasonably heavy items - A strong customer service focus - Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently - Attention to detail and a commitment to providing an excellent shopping experience for our customers Key Responsibilities The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: - Delivering excellent customer service - Gathering food ingredients in preparation for cooking and serving - Assisting with stock control - Supporting ticketing, re-pricing, and stocktaking as requested - Collecting trolleys as required - Ensuring adequate stock is maintained on shelves and in cabinets, presented to the required standards, including filling, facing, and product rotation - Adhering to Food Safety guidelines for the storage of all ingredients - Maintaining a high level of cleanliness - Upholding high standards of Health and Safety - Preparing food in accordance with Food Safety guidelines and ensuring the highest quality Full-time positions are available, with workdays and hours to be discussed with successful applicants. Please note that weekend work and early starts or late finishes may be required. Pay Range and Hours The pay range for this position is $25-$26 per hour, with a commitment of 32 or more hours per week. Requirements Applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency, or a valid New Zealand Work Permit.
