About the Role We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our MRI team in the Radiology Department as a permanent MRI Technologist, with both full-time and part-time positions available. While the primary focus of this role is MRI technology, there is also an option to maintain a Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) scope of practice. About the Team/Service Location Our Radiology Department serves the Hutt Valley and Wairarapa regions, catering to a diverse range of clinical referrals, including those from Regional Plastic Surgery and Rheumatology services, as well as two Emergency Departments. We provide an array of diagnostic services, including X-rays, ultrasounds, MRI, and CT scans. Our team consists of approximately 80 dedicated professionals, including Radiologists, Sonographers, Medical Imaging Technologists, MRI Technologists, Nurses, Health Care Assistants, and an Administration/Bookings Team, alongside Data, IT, and Quality staff. We foster a friendly and professional environment characterized by a "Can Do" attitude, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. We prioritize continuous quality improvement and maintain constructive relationships with our clinical colleagues. Additionally, our Radiology Department holds International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) accreditation. About You To be considered for this role, you should have: - A postgraduate qualification in MRI (or be working towards one), or be registered with the Medical Radiation Technologist Board as an MRI MIT. - Knowledge and confidence in your professional role. - Proficiency in using computers and the willingness to learn new web-based clinical applications, such as IBA, Concerto, Comrad, RIS/PACS, as required for the role. Training will be provided if necessary.
