About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Solar Estimator & Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position combines solar system design, precise estimating, and client engagement to deliver sustainable energy solutions across residential, commercial, and rural sectors. Reporting directly to the Sales Team Lead and Sales Manager, you will play a vital role in driving growth in the renewable energy sector while ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Solar Estimating & Design
- Analyze site conditions, energy usage, and client requirements
- Prepare accurate solar PV system designs and cost estimates
- Source competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with industry standards
Client Engagement & Sales
- Attend site visits and consultations
- Present proposals and explain technical solutions in a clear, customer-friendly manner
- Build strong relationships and follow up to secure projects
Project Setup & Support
- Convert successful quotes into jobs in our management system
- Coordinate with procurement and project teams for smooth delivery
- Provide clear handovers and assist with variations or cost queries
What You Will Bring
- A strong understanding of solar PV systems and electrical principles
- Experience in estimating or sales within the electrical or renewable energy sector
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking abilities
- Capability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify risks and opportunities
- Proactive, organized, and committed to delivering quality work

Requirements
- NZ Qualified Electrician or strong solar industry experience
- Current EWRB Licence preferred
- NZ Resident or valid Work Visa
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in the electrical or solar sector
