About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of transport services within our high-performing Auckland team. This role is crucial to the success of our contract operations, ensuring that maintenance and delivery work is performed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As the Delivery Manager, you will supervise roading maintenance activities across the contract and be involved in resource allocation, crew and plant coordination, and overseeing all transport operations.
In this leadership position, you will manage a team consisting of 5 direct reports and 23 indirect reports. It is essential to possess excellent people management skills, a strategic mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Engineers on weekly and monthly maintenance programs.
- Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and delivery targets.
- Oversee the selection of subcontractors and monitor their performance.
- Participate in emergency response planning and coordination.
- Foster a customer-centric culture and build strong client relationships.
- Champion operational excellence and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards and promote our “Safe for Life” philosophy.
About You
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in delivering transport services, preferably in infrastructure or civil maintenance. Proven leadership experience with a focus on people development and team engagement is essential. You should possess strong commercial acumen, with a background in budgeting and resource planning.
Additionally, you will need to hold NZ Class 1, 2, 4, and 5 driver licenses, as well as a relevant TTM qualification. A passion for safety and continuous improvement is also required.
