About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Service Desk Engineer to join our forward-thinking IT team on an initial six-month contract. This role offers more than just traditional service desk responsibilities; it presents a prime opportunity for a motivated professional looking to advance towards a systems engineer position. In this position, you will be instrumental in driving problem management, mentoring junior staff, improving documentation and processes, and collaborating closely with engineers and other departments during infrastructure upgrades and relocations. Requirements - A strong understanding of the distinctions between service requests, incidents, and problems. - Proven experience in L2-L3 support within a service desk environment. - Skills in mentoring, coaching, and assisting junior team members in their growth. - Experience in improving processes and technical documentation. - Ability to analyze and address technical debt and security configurations. - A flexible and adaptable approach to working in a complex IT environment.
