About the Role
We are excited to invite skilled individuals to join our ITS team as an Industrial Electrician in Wellington. This role is crucial to our commitment to delivering exceptional electrical services across various environments, including industrial, mechanical, HVAC, civil works, traffic signal installations, and communications systems. Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Installation & Maintenance: Performing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, with a focus on mechanical and HVAC applications, civil works, traffic signal systems, and communications infrastructure. You will ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Compliance: Ensuring all work adheres to safety regulations and industry standards while maintaining a high level of quality in every project.
- Documentation: Keeping accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other trades, subcontractors, and team members to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems and installations.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:
- New Zealand registered Electrician with a current Electricians practising license from the EWRB.
- A valid full Class 1 driver’s licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
- Willingness to complete essential daily safety checks, job sheets, and timesheets.
- Flexibility to occasionally travel and stay away from home.
- Participation in an on-call roster is expected.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Solid computer skills and familiarity with a variety of computer applications.
- Strong electrical experience, particularly in industrial electrics and electronics, with some programming ability being advantageous.
