About the Company
Open Country Dairy is recognized as New Zealand's largest independent dairy processor and exporter of premium whole milk powder. Our operation is supported by Southern Milk Transport, which plays a crucial role in ensuring that our pristine fleet efficiently collects milk from farms throughout the Waikato region. About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Class 5 drivers to join our dedicated Waikato team as we prepare for another busy dairy season. This is a full-time, permanent position for skilled tanker drivers who take pride in their work, prioritize safety, and thrive in a supportive environment.
Our shifts consist of two days, two nights, followed by four days off. The dairy season runs from August to May, and we offer annualized hours, providing the option for paid time off during the months of June and July. Additionally, there may be opportunities for overtime for those looking to earn extra income.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Operate modern Scania tankers safely and professionally.
- Build strong relationships with our valued farmer suppliers.
- Actively contribute to our high-performing team with a positive attitude.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures without compromise.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- A full, clean Class 5 licence.
- At least one year of experience driving truck and trailer units.
- A strong awareness of health and safety best practices.
- Confidence using EROAD and M2X (this is advantageous).
- A great attitude, a strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset.
