At Wingpoint Dairy, we are committed to nurturing talent and providing opportunities for growth within the dairy industry. We believe in fostering a supportive environment where our team members can develop their skills and take on meaningful responsibilities. Our focus on animal welfare and production goals reflects our dedication to excellence in dairy farming.
About the Role
We are looking for dedicated individuals who are ready to advance their dairy careers. In this hands-on position, you will play a crucial role in our day-to-day farm operations, collaborating closely with your team to achieve our production and animal welfare objectives. We offer comprehensive training and ongoing support, encouraging you to take initiative, build your skills, and mentor less experienced team members.
This is a fixed-term role that will last until the end of January 2026.
The Farm
Wingpoint Dairy spans 330 effective hectares and milks 780 cows twice daily through a 70-bail rotary shed. Located just fifteen minutes from Martinborough and twenty minutes south of Featherston, our farm also includes a 96-hectare support block situated ten minutes away.
Our location is ideal for families, with a nearby school bus route and an abundance of recreational activities. With Greytown and Martinborough close by, our community offers a wealth of events and amenities.
Benefits
At Pāmu, we provide a competitive salary package along with a range of benefits, including ongoing training and development opportunities.
Our roster includes a 6 and 2 schedule during calving, transitioning to a 5 and 2 schedule for the remainder of the season. We also offer a three-bedroom home that combines convenience with a desirable lifestyle, located near the school bus stop and surrounded by outdoor and community activities.
About You
We are seeking individuals who take pride in their work and strive for excellence in every task, whether that involves optimizing pasture performance, ensuring animal health, or supporting team efforts.
Ideally, you will have:
