About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead and supervise all aspects of our millwork projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and production teams to ensure that each project is completed on time, within budget, and meets our high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution and completion of projects according to customer specifications, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to facilitate ongoing communication, resolve issues, and promote customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Coordinate all phases of the project with estimators, architects, sales teams, customers, installers, site supervisors, and production staff.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to provide job-specific details necessary for accurate budgeting.
- Schedule and participate in all relevant meetings related to development, fabrication, installation, and timely order completion.
- Enter and manage initial hours and costs into our data tracking system.
- Review architectural and shop drawings prior to submission for approval.
- Develop a scope-specific delivery schedule detailing hours and dates for each production process and complete work orders based on estimates.
- Verify dimensions with contractors before fabrication by reviewing drawings.
- Manage material and hardware requisitions, confirming order placements.
- Generate quantity takeoffs for custom accessories and review purchase orders along with vendor delivery performance.
- Monitor the shop fabrication and production process while maintaining communication with the production manager.
- Handle subcontract installation and obtain quotes as necessary.
- Conduct job-site reviews with installers to address any clarification needs.
- Generate change orders to reflect specification additions and their impact on revenue and costs.
- Work with the shipping department to specify shipping dates and any special requirements.
- Ensure that all order-related documentation is accurately entered into our database and provided to the production team, installers, and customers as needed.
- Complete the monthly billing process based on contract stipulations and job progress.
- Periodically review architects' punch lists and sign off on installers' billing.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural millwork project management or related fields.
- Strong understanding of millwork construction techniques, materials, finishes, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD or Revit) and the ability to interpret millwork shop drawings.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
