About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Psychologist for a permanent, part-time position at Stanford House. Our approach is progressive and creative, emphasizing a multidisciplinary and recovery-focused environment that makes a genuine difference in the lives of our clients.

About the Team/Service/Location
Stanford House is a specialist inpatient service that provides care and support for adults experiencing significant challenges to their mental health within a forensic context. Our focus is on recovery, working closely with the individuals we support, their whanau, and wider networks to achieve meaningful outcomes. Our dedicated multidisciplinary team is devoted to delivering high-quality, person-centered care, grounded in the principles of the Let's Get Real framework.
We understand that each individual's journey is unique, and we strive to create a safe, respectful, and empowering environment that fosters the development of skills and confidence necessary for recovery.
About You
To be considered for this position, you must be a registered clinical psychologist with a postgraduate diploma in clinical psychology (or equivalent) and a master's or doctoral level degree in psychology. You should hold a current practicing certificate in New Zealand, possess a full driver's license, and be able to participate in the management of aggression.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes and skills:
- Ability to establish trusting and therapeutic relationships with clients
- Proficiency in computer literacy
- Commitment to professional development and ongoing training
- A valid Police Clearance
- Registration with the New Zealand Psychology Board
