Financial Accountant

About the Role We are seeking a Financial Accountant for either a fixed-term contract or a permanent position. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial accounting and tax information for management purposes across multiple entities and development projects. This is a newly created role that will report directly to the CFO. Your key responsibilities will include: - Assisting with the preparation of monthly accounts and group consolidation - Evaluating accounting systems, procedures, and practices, making recommendations for improvements - Preparing GST returns for multiple entities - Performing bank reconciliations and payment allocations in Xero - Supporting other accounting activities as needed - Assisting with accounts payable, including invoice processing, statement reconciliations, and payment preparation Requirements We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant, ideally someone who is CA qualified. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and possess proven financial accounting experience. Familiarity with Xero is desirable.
