About the Role We are seeking a Diesel Automotive Technician to join our team at Keith Andrews Trucks Ltd. In this full-time position based in our Porirua location, you will be instrumental in maintaining and repairing the diesel-powered vehicles that are vital to our operations. Your expertise will help us ensure that our business runs at peak performance. What You'll Be Doing In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults and malfunctions in diesel engines. You will carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy equipment, as well as troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. You will demonstrate a thorough understanding of diesel engine technology and its components while providing exceptional customer service and effective communication with clients. Additionally, you will maintain detailed records of all work completed and contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environment. What We're Looking For We are looking for a qualified diesel automotive technician with a minimum of three years of experience. You should possess strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and good communication skills are essential, along with a commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also important for this position.
