About the Role
We are inviting applications for casual Cleaner positions at Te Whatu Ora Taranaki, located at the New Plymouth BASE Hospital. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean and safe healthcare environment, which is essential for the well-being of our patients and staff.
As a Cleaning Operator, you will contribute to the prevention and control of infection by ensuring that cleaning standards are met and maintained throughout our facility. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and are looking to make a difference in the healthcare sector.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our cleaning team comprises over 40 staff members who work across two shifts, providing cleaning services seven days a week, including public holidays. For those interested in relocating, we encourage you to explore what living and working in Taranaki has to offer.
About You
We are looking for candidates with experience in the cleaning industry, ideally in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with floor care and the operation of electric floor buffers is beneficial.
To be successful in this role, you should be physically fit and flexible in your availability for varied shifts. A strong understanding of health and safety practices in the workplace is essential. While NZQA cleaning qualifications at levels 2 or 3 are preferable, they are not mandatory; we offer opportunities to gain formal qualifications as part of your professional development.
