About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Pipe Layers, Excavator Operators, and Foremen to join our Drainage Crews. Who We’re Looking For
Pipe Layers:
- Demonstrated experience in laying sewer, stormwater, and water mains.
- Ability to perform manual handling and repetitive tasks, including moderate to heavy lifting and reaching.
- Capable of shooting and reducing levels using a Dumpy level.
- Ability to set up a pipe laser.
- Proficient in reading, interpreting, and understanding plans and standards.
Excavator Operators:
- Skilled in operating machines of 20 tonnes and above, with experience in lifting operations.
- Competent with shoring box work and deep excavations.
- Knowledgeable of hand signals and instructions.
- Experienced in excavating around existing services and collaborating with teams.
- Familiarity with GPS technology is desirable but not essential.
Foremen:
- Minimum of two years of prior experience as a Civil Drainage Foreman.
- Solid understanding of advanced civil pipe principles, with experience in residential subdivision works involving deep sewer, stormwater, and water.
- Capable of addressing adverse ground conditions.
- Comprehensive understanding of current SEQ standards.
- Strong commitment to occupational health and safety and safe work practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Various plant machinery tickets will be highly regarded.
