About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our South Island merchandising team. In this role, you will be responsible for in-store merchandising of our frozen and ambient products, including canned and pocket items. This position involves building displays at various Pak n Save and New World stores throughout greater Christchurch. This is a permanent part-time position, offering up to 9.25 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours on Sunday nights during display weeks. The role requires early morning availability, as some Pak n Save stores require merchandising starting as early as 5:30 AM. Your responsibilities will include “cut carton merchandising,” where sharp presentation skills and attention to detail are essential. You will be covering stores in Moorhouse, St Martins, Wainoni, and Papanui, with display builds at Durham Street, Ferry Road, Prestons, Stanmore, and Northwood New Worlds as needed. Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: - Previous experience in merchandising, preferably in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG); however, this is not a strict requirement. - Strong communication skills to facilitate constant interaction with internal and external customers. - A customer-focused attitude and the ability to work well within a team. - A passion for our products and a proactive approach to making a positive impact. - A reasonable level of fitness, including the ability to lift heavy grocery items up to 10 kg. - A current full clean driver’s license and access to a personal motor vehicle.
