About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated Equipment Technician/Diesel Mechanic to join our Nelson Branch. This is an exciting opportunity as we have recently been appointed the New Zealand importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery. In this role, you will utilize your diagnostic and mechanical skills to service, maintain, and repair a wide range of heavy machinery, primarily within the forestry and construction sectors. As an Equipment Technician/Diesel Mechanic at CablePrice, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient, and accurate service and maintenance outcomes. Requirements To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: - A strong commitment to health and safety, which is our top priority at CablePrice. - A Heavy Diesel and/or relevant Automotive Qualification. - Previous experience with Tigercat equipment would be advantageous. - Mechanical capability and technical skills for diagnosing faults and servicing heavy commercial vehicles. - Excellent diagnostic ability and analytical thinking skills to navigate complex issues that arise during day-to-day operations. - Proficiency in computer literacy and a customer-focused mindset. - A 'can-do' attitude that reflects resilience and reliability, similar to the machines we work on.
