About the Company We are a rapidly growing glazing firm located in Penrose, Auckland. Our client is seeking a dedicated Residential and Commercial Glazier to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with significant experience in the field who is ready to take on leadership roles in commercial projects. About the Role As a Glazier, your primary responsibilities will include measuring and cutting glass with precision, as well as deglazing and reglazing glass in both wooden and aluminum frames. You will create detailed sketches for cutting sizes and channels and will be responsible for accurately measuring and cutting aluminum channels for office partitions and showers. Additionally, you will install frameless glass projects, including pivot and sliding doors, balustrades, and canopies. We value strong communication skills, both written and spoken, and seek individuals with excellent organizational abilities who can effectively manage small teams. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of two years of experience in commercial glazing, particularly in installations such as shopfronts and office partitions. Experience with showers, mirrors, balustrades, and splashback glazing is also essential. We are looking for someone with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, a practical approach to problem-solving, and a positive attitude towards customer challenges. Strong communication and time management skills are important, as is the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. A current NZ Driver's license is required. Benefits We offer a competitive salary package alongside a company glazing vehicle. This is a full-time position with a minimum of 45 hours per week, primarily from Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work. Our compensation structure includes competitive hourly rates, a monthly performance bonus, and paid lunch breaks. For any after-hours call-out work, we provide a rate of 1.5 to 2 times the normal hourly rate. Additionally, we offer an end-of-year performance bonus and the opportunity for growth into a senior glazing role within our company.
