About the Role We are seeking a Cyber Security Lead to join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing our cyber resilience across the enterprise. This permanent position is based at our Christchurch Head Office and reports directly to the Head of Technology. In this newly created role, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic leadership within a Microsoft-centric environment, supporting our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence. As the Cyber Security Lead, you will be part of the technology leadership team, responsible for driving the implementation and continuous improvement of ANZCO's cyber security strategy and roadmap. You will lead a dedicated team of information and cyber security analysts, collaborate with senior technology leaders, and oversee our cyber security maturity uplift. Duties and Responsibilities - Lead the cyber security team while fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture. - Own and drive the implementation of ANZCO's cyber security strategy and roadmap. - Serve as a thought leader in cyber and information security management within ANZCO. - Champion ongoing cyber and information security user awareness training initiatives. - Collaborate with the technology team to identify, assess, prioritize, and remediate risks in our current practices and processes. - Continuously evaluate the cyber and information security threat landscape to adapt initiatives based on risk assessments. - Lead internal and external cyber and information security audits, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements. Requirements - A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role with a major company, or over 5 years in an IT technical role with demonstrated responsibilities for cyber and information security. - Proven experience leading cyber security initiatives in a complex enterprise environment. - In-depth knowledge of modern cyber security practices and technologies, including firewalls, web filtering, endpoint protection, SIEM, and vulnerability scanning and reporting. - Experience in Operational Technology (OT) cyber security is advantageous but not essential. - Strong understanding of best-practice enterprise cyber and information security practices. - Formal qualifications such as CySA+ or CISSP are preferred. - Comfortable being a thought leader, driving innovation, and leading change. - Ability to engage effectively with business subject matter experts and data owners/stewards.
