About the Role We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced insurance professional to join our Underwriting Team as an Underwriter-Technical. In this role, you will provide essential technical underwriting advice and guidance, support quality business acceptance, and participate in business-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiencies and client offerings. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other experienced underwriters to develop tailored insurance solutions, including co-insurance. This position will expose you to quota share arrangements and give you the chance to manage your own capacity and retention. Additionally, you will engage in the direct placement of facultative reinsurance within our underwriting team, offering you a unique, end-to-end perspective of the insurance lifecycle. About You We are looking for candidates who possess a minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in commercial insurance or underwriting. An ANZIIF qualification (or equivalent) is expected, or you should be actively working towards it. Strong commercial and insurance acumen, particularly in pricing and market dynamics, is essential. You should have a proven ability to influence and build strong internal relationships, alongside excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach. Experience across a range of non-consumer lines, such as SME, corporate, and specialty, will be highly regarded and is key to your success in this role.
