About the Role
We are currently seeking a Public Toilet Amenities and Cleaning Team Leader to join our dedicated team in Tauranga. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for leading our cleaning teams, ensuring that parks and facilities are clean, safe, and enjoyable for all visitors.
As the Amenities and Cleaning Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular cleaning and maintenance of park facilities, including toilets, BBQs, bins, and park furniture to uphold high standards of service.
- Performing litter collection and maintaining public areas to enhance community enjoyment.
- Leading and coordinating teams in designated amenities activities.
- Organizing and monitoring amenities operations, creating work plans, and assigning resources while adjusting plans based on seasonal influences.
- Adhering to Safety, Quality, and Environmental (SQE) standards, managing activities to ensure superior safety performance.
- Identifying hazards and documenting findings before commencing work on-site.
- Being vigilant about public safety in work areas and assessing the appropriateness of activities.
- Liaising with clients and the public to ensure satisfaction and promptly addressing any concerns.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess a positive attitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges. The ideal candidate for the Public Toilet Amenities and Cleaning Team Leader position will have:
- Significant industry experience in amenities management, with a preference for 5 or more years.
- A Full Class 1 Driver's License; a Class 2 License is preferred.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams effectively.
- Strong planning, communication, and client liaison skills.
- An energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented approach to work.
