Description
About the Company
At Active Explorers Nelson Street, we are dedicated to providing exceptional early childhood education that fosters a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. Located conveniently near shops, cafes, schools, beaches, and gyms, we take pride in our well-resourced center that caters to the imagination and creativity of our educators.
About the Role
We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated educators to join our team, focusing on children aged 3 to 5 years old. Our approach emphasizes individualized learning, tailoring resources and opportunities to the unique interests and strengths of each child. We encourage inquiry-based exploration and child-led discovery, creating a rich learning environment.
Our educators play a vital role in supporting children beyond the classroom. We maintain strong relationships with local new-entrant school teachers to ensure a seamless transition into formal education. Additionally, we empower children to develop a sense of ownership over their actions and belongings, promoting independence and conflict-resolution skills.
We are committed to embracing diversity and multiculturalism, valuing the unique backgrounds and identities of every child and family. Our curriculum weaves bicultural practices into daily routines, acknowledging Te Tiriti o Waitangi and incorporating Māori values and traditions.
