About the Company EVE MOWING LIMITED is seeking a skilled and passionate Gardener to join our dedicated team. About the Role This full-time position guarantees a minimum of 35 hours per week, with pay starting from $30 to $35 per hour. As a Gardener, your key responsibilities will include: - Planting, cultivating, and maintaining lawns, gardens, and landscapes. - Mowing, trimming, pruning, and weeding to ensure our environments are well-maintained. - Identifying plant diseases and pests while applying appropriate treatments. - Safely operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment. - Installing and repairing irrigation systems to promote optimal plant growth. - Following landscaping plans to ensure high-quality garden maintenance. - Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards in all gardening activities. - Pruning trees and shaping branches using both chainsaws and handsaws. - Examining trees to assess their condition and determine necessary treatments. Requirements We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience: - A minimum qualification of a relevant diploma at level 4 or 5, or at least two years of relevant work experience, such as Gardener Assistant or Helper. - A New Zealand Level 3 Certificate in Horticulture may be considered, provided there is at least one year of work experience in a similar role. - A solid knowledge of plants, soils, fertilizers, and pest control methods is essential. - Basic knowledge or experience with garden tools, lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems is expected. - A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Good physical fitness to handle outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions. - A valid driver's license would be advantageous.
