Health New Zealand, Nelson Marlborough is seeking experienced Paediatricians to join our dedicated team at Wairau Hospital in Blenheim. About the Role
We invite you to apply for a permanent position offering 0.6 Full-Time Equivalent (48 hours per fortnight) with a 1:4 on-call commitment. In this role, you will provide quality healthcare services to children from birth to early adolescence in the Marlborough region. You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, which includes three other experienced General Paediatricians, a team of Resident Medical Officers (RMOs), midwives, and nurses. Your responsibilities will also include covering acute general paediatrics and supervising and teaching medical students, junior doctors, and nursing/midwifery colleagues.

Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- General Paediatric and Neonatal experience, with special interests that complement our current team, particularly in child development and behavior.
- Qualifications to join the Paediatric MEDSAC team.
- Current accreditation in Advanced Paediatric Life Support or an equivalent qualification.
- Eligibility for an Annual Practising Certificate and vocational scope of Paediatrics with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- A collaborative spirit that fosters a cohesive team culture based on openness, respect, and humor.
