About the Role We are currently seeking Fresh Food Assistants to support our Bakery, Cafe, and Deli departments. In this role, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training within a supportive management framework, along with opportunities for personal development. Our ideal candidates will possess the following qualities: - Physical fitness to lift moderately heavy items - A strong customer service focus - The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently - Attention to detail and a commitment to providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: - Delivering excellent customer service - Gathering food ingredients for cooking and serving - Assisting with stock control and inventory management - Supporting ticketing, re-pricing, and stocktake as needed - Collecting trolleys when required - Ensuring shelves and cabinets are adequately stocked, well-presented, and organized - Adhering to food safety guidelines for ingredient storage - Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment - Upholding high standards of health and safety - Preparing food in accordance with food safety regulations and quality standards Full-time positions are available, and the specific days and hours of work will be discussed with successful candidates. These roles are likely to include weekend hours and may require early starts or late finishes. Requirements - Applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency, or a valid New Zealand Work Permit.
