About the Role We are currently seeking a reliable, motivated, and safety-focused Yard Person & Delivery Driver to join our team in Nelson. In this full-time position, you will support the efficient operation of our warehouse, yard, and delivery services. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that products are handled, prepared, and dispatched accurately, while also completing customer deliveries safely and professionally. Responsibilities In this role, you will: - Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch or pickup. - Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are stored in a manner that prevents damage. - Provide friendly, professional service to customers and colleagues on-site. - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard, stores, and warehouse. - Conduct regular stock checks and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy. - Operate forklifts and other handling equipment, provided you hold the appropriate license. - Deliver products and materials to customer sites as assigned. - Perform pre-start checks and ensure the safety and cleanliness of delivery vehicles. - Represent Contour with professionalism during all deliveries. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have: - Experience in warehousing, yard, or delivery roles, preferably in construction or building products. - A current forklift license (or a willingness to train). - A gantry crane license (or a willingness to train). - A minimum Class 1 driver’s license with towing experience; Class 2 and Hiab licenses are preferred. - Physical fitness, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. - Excellent time management skills and a team-oriented attitude. - Familiarity with roofing or building materials is a plus, though full training will be provided.
