About the Role
We are seeking a Class 2 driver who is friendly, hardworking, and physically fit to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting scrap metal from customers and assisting with yard work, which includes sorting and weighing the metal. As this position involves direct interaction with clients, it is essential that you are able to engage with them in a friendly and professional manner while maintaining efficiency in your tasks.
This is a temporary position, with the potential for ongoing work based on performance.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Current Class 2 driving experience
- Hiab ticket and experience is preferred but not essential
- Digger operating experience with WTR endorsements is ideal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Two recent references
- Flexibility and dependability, accompanied by a strong work ethic
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks
- A positive attitude and a willingness to follow instructions
- A focus on health and safety
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
