About the Role We are excited to offer a full-time, permanent opportunity for a New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist with a passion for paediatrics to join our supportive Starship community team. Based at the Greenlane Clinical Centre, most of your work will take place in the community, providing vital interdisciplinary care and cultural support to children, young people, and their families living in the Te Toka Tumai area. As part of the Starship Child Health directorate, you will work alongside nursing, allied health, and technical staff to deliver healthcare services in home, school, and community settings. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting assessments and providing therapy for children and young people with developmental and disability needs as part of our child development service - Visiting children in their homes, early childhood centres, and various community settings - Engaging with the community to address inequities and barriers to healthcare for priority populations - Collaborating with allied health colleagues using an interdisciplinary model to deliver high-quality services - Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities, including a well-established in-service training program - Being part of our weekend and on-call roster If you thrive in an environment that values evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, clinical reasoning, and sound decision-making skills, we encourage you to consider this role. About the Team/Service/Location The Starship Community Occupational Therapy team consists of dedicated and compassionate clinicians focused on improving clinical outcomes for children in the community. Our team comprises 7.2 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members who provide care in outpatient and community-based settings. About You The ideal candidate will possess: - New Zealand registration as an Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate - A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience - A strong passion for improving outcomes for children - A clean, full New Zealand driver's license - Excellent clinical reasoning skills and the ability to apply evidence-informed practices - The capability to collaborate effectively with various professional groups in a multidisciplinary and bicultural environment - Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills If you would like to view the detailed position description, please follow the link provided.
